Daytona Bike Week General Info

DBBW is pretty much is the kickoff of the motorcycle rally season in the US.   The rally started in 1937 with the first running of the Daytona 200 and now it is one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the world.   Since the crowds have grown downtown and the prices for lodging in Daytona have risen more people stay outside of the city and/or party at the campgrounds. Other things that have been changing for years are there are a lot more non-Harley Davidson’s and women riders.

Daytona has everything you have always wanted to see and more. If it is your first time at this rally you need to go to Main Street and ride on A1A. The Daytona International Speedway has tons of different racing events for all types of motorcycles including the historic Daytona 200, flat track, motocross, super bike, and other races as well as it is one of the centers for Bike Week’s events. There are attractions all over the surrounding areas and notably at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona in Ormond Beach.  Rossmeyer’s HD has a lot of events and attractions; it actually has a lot more than you will see at most events. There is often a traffic jam of motorcycles trying to get onto the property to enjoy the events for Daytona Bike Week. Between Daytona Beach, the surrounding area, Destination Daytona, the local dealerships, and the world famous bars you will be able to see everything you want listed below and more. Two of the many bike shows that never disappoint are the Willie’s Tropical Tattoo Old School Chopper Show and the Rats Hole Custom Bike Show. There are plenty of bike builders, industry celebrities, motorcycle manufacturers, big rig displays and live music from top name acts.  You won’t have a problem finding biker contests, wet t shirt contests, poker runs, burnout pits, raffles, rides, charity events and endless vendors.
